Seamaster on the back and Constellation on the front..

(Erie, Pa. )

I wonder why this watch says Seamaster on the back and Constellation on the front. I also wondered the value? My family inherited this 20 some years ago and it has sat in a drawer with no one giving it a second thought until now.
Thanks

Very intersting

Looking at the case, what you have is an Omega Seamaster XVI which was made in a limited edition for the Olympic games in 1956. The reference number for the watch should be 2580. The watch should be 18K solid gold. Unfortunately, it looks like at some point the dial was replaced with a constellation dial. This significantly impacts the value. In original good condition this watch can be worth around 3000$. But without the original dial I would estimate it would be worth considerably less.
