Omega Seamaster was my Father in Laws

by Jan

This was my Father in Laws watch that I have kept since he passed away in 1992. I have been holding on to it for sentimental reasons, but would like to get an idea of it's value.
My father in law was an executive and from German decent. He wore this watch daily.
I am attaching pictures.
ps. I never knew taking a good photo of a watch was so hard :-)

Watches are difficult to photograph
by: OWEx

because of all the shiny surfaces which reflect light in many directions.

It's difficult to say for certain which model you have exactly, since the watch resembles a number of models. Fort an exact determination you would need to have the watch opened and have a look at the number inside. However, it is from the 1960's and likely houses a calibre 562 movement. It is gold filled and not solid gold. Its a nice watch and in good condition these value at around 400-500$.

Thank you for your help!
