Omega Seamaster 300 M loose parts?

by Tom
(The Netherlands)

I bought a second hand 2005 Seamaster 300M from a reputable dealer in December. I only wear it some evenings and weekends, and always take it of when getting 'active'. It never even got wet.

Since this week, without anything happening, it started rattling. Sounds like there is a part loose inside the watch. Does this happen more often, is it normal or is this watch that was sold to me as Like New Condition not good to begin with? I am worried that it might get very costly to repair.

Any idea what's the problem, and what I should expect from the jeweller I bought it from?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

This does not sound normal

but the only way to know for sure is to have the watch opened and examined. I would take it back to the dealer and have it inspected. It could be as simple as a loose case clamp.

Thanks for the response

Thank you for your answer OWEx,

I send it to the dealer to have a look. What do you think, should this be warranty? I know it's a second hand watch, but it was sold as Very Good condition. Then it can't break after 5 months right?

Kind Regards

Tom

This should not happen if the watch was serviced by the dealer

If he claimed to service it before selling it to you, then I think it should be covered. However, it depends on the terms of the warranty. It would not be covered by the Original Omega warranty, so it depends on the terms you had with the dealer.
