Jonell Omega watch

Jonell Omega watch

My father passed away in 1999. I routinely wear his Omega watch which I think he purchased late 50's early 60's. It is gold (stamped J14KGOLD with an arrow above it) on the side of the case under the 6. The face has numbers in the 12,2,4,6,8,10 positions and there is an Omega symbol under the 12 and under that it says OMEGA and under that AUTOMATIC.

There are no other numbers, symbols or words on the watch.

Can you shed some light on what year, model, etc this watch is??

The watch is likely from the 1950's

The "J" and the "arrow" on the case indicate the case was made by the Jonell watch case company that was based in New York. There was a period of time when Omega used local case makers to use with the watches they sold on the US market. For a more informed response I would need to see pictures of the watch.

Here is a poor photo but for now best I can do.

Just uploaded it

Watch is similar to a number of models

from the late 1950's early 60's. It looks like this would be a US collection model probably with a bumper automatic 351 or 354 movement. The dial looks to be original. Enjoy the watch!
