Grandpa's 1956 Seamaster

#1 - I have 2 vintage Omega Seamaster's. I know that one is from 1956 serial# 2846-1 SC and has 19 jewels (17 rubies). It is not currently running. It has a Speidel silver band.

#2 - The other one has a calendar on it, and it runs smoothly. The band was replaced with a Elastofixo Silver Band. I was unable to get the back off. Not sure if it screws or snaps. The face of the watch has a small crack at the bottom.

Any idea of worth would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Carmen Collier

Cool watches

Both very nice watches. The first one (2846) should have a calibre 500 or 501 movement. Since it’s not working its difficult to say how much it would cost to repair. This somewhat impacts the value. As a non-working “As-is” value I would estimate the watch to be worth 200-250$

The calendar watch look like it is a CK 2849 from the mid to late 1950’s. Watch should have a caliber 503. The dial has significant patina on it, but if it is original and not refinished it would be something that collectors would seek. With an original dial this watch would be worth 400-500$
