Gold Omega Seamaster

Resubmitting with downsized pictures.

I inherited an Omega Seamaster Automatic Dress Watch in 1960 or 61 when a great uncle died. He was larger than life and had very particular (and expensive) tastes. The watch operates, and is self winding (and needs some adjustment)and is in a gold or gold plated case. It does not display the date and does not have a separate second hand. It has a plain face, Roman numeral I & II for the hour makers and has the Omega Logo and Word Omega and the word automatic below the 12 hour and in cursive, the word Seamaster above the 6 o'clock marker. It has the words swiss-made below the 6 o'clock marker. The case back of the watch does not have screw off lugs and is plain except for the Seamaster seahorse logo in the very center of the back. I am attaching front and back pictures.

Can you help me pin point the age of this watch from what can be observed from the outside of this watch? Also, I would like to know the official product title of the watch. thank you, Tom T.

You have a very nice example of a Seamaster

from the very late 1950's or perhaps 1960. The watch is a reference OT 14745 and would be in 18K solid gold. The movement inside would be a calibre 552. This is a unishell case and the access to the movement would be from the top through the crystal. If you are going to have it serviced then take it to a qualified watchmaker with experience. This is quite a valuable watch and can easily be valued in the 2000$+ range.
