1960's Omega DeVille

by Margo
(Melbourne, Australia)

Hello, I have my fathers watch and I am curious if you are able to give me some more information about how old it is? He has passed away but I have photos of him in the sixties and he is wearing it. The glass is a little scratched and I changed the band to leather so that I could wear it everyday. I haven't been able to find one similar to it on my internet searches. I'm hoping that the photos attached give you enough detail to help understand the age and also the approximate value. The back is blank. Thanks! Margo.

Wow - beautiful watch

DO you know if the case is solid gold? Its somewhat difficult to tell from the angles of the images, but I think your watch is likely a reference 145.018 with a calibre 861 movement. These are not common and if it is gold filled would probably be in the 2000$ range. More if solid gold.

Another 1960's Omega Deville Chrono NEW
by: RDB

I inherited my father's Deville, purchased new near 1967. It is the Calibre 861, Case 145.018, Movement number 27711134. It is difficult to get information on this particular watch. They do seem to be rather uncommon. Which perplexes me; due to their scarcity I do not understand their rather low valuation. I have had mine professionally cleaned and timed and added a new Kreisler watch band. It is a beatiful timepiece.
